About the Day of Arafah
On the Day of Arafah, pilgrims stand on the plain of Arafat in supplication. For those not performing Hajj, fasting this day is a highly recommended Sunnah: the Prophet ﷺ said it expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year (Sahih Muslim 1162).
